Continuing training workshop on Myanmar Saemaul Geumgo movement last year, ten former and current officers from Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation in Myanmar visited Saemaul Geumgo and received training workshop to learn Korea's Saemaul Geumgo development model, which has achieved sound growth on the basis of the sustainable financial development highlighting savings and of the self-help development stressing cooperative principle. The workshop was successfully implemented for 11 days from 22th May to 1st June. It consisted of various lectures about the principle utilizing cooperative features and savings, the establishment and organization, savings, loans, governmental roles of Saemaul Geumgo Movement, etc. Also, participants visited Southern Cheonan Saemaul Geumgo and Daesung Saemaul Geumgo, watching Saemaul Geumgo's development and operation on site. In addition, Myanmarese participants voluntarily took part in discussions about what they needed to do for the implementation and promotion for Saemaul Geumgo Movement.

Myanmar participants who successfully completed the workshop plan to start lectures at Myanmar Saemaul Undong Academy in Yangon to village leaders about what they learned from this program. Also, they will coordinate between government and village people about the establishment. KFCC plan to support the establishment and operation of Saemaul Geumgo in Myanmar pilot 10 townships. We wish our continuous efforts will become seeds of hope and create big and beautiful changes.
